A Playboy’s Room
For the 4th consecutive year, OITOEMPONTO participates to AD Interiors. For this edition on the theme of “Raw and precious”, Jacques Bec and Artur Miranda present the room of a Playboy. Like a folding screen, the fords of a wallpaper close the space, ornamented with a lustful nocturnal forest. Realized by OITOEMPONTO in collaboration with de Gournay this motive breathes the intimacy and invites to daydreaming, it spreads up to the hand-painted and embroidered silk curtains. Everything is only games of contrasts and concordances between this abundant exotic ornament and classic architecture of the room, between doors lacquered in black from the 40’s – Ruhlmann door writs – and arcs of windows from the 17th century on the opposite wall. The whole set, Pierre Frey fabrics to the contemporary furniture designed by OITOEMPONTO and composed among others iconic furniture such as a 18th century dresser, a sofa from the 60’s by Adrian Pearsall, chairs by Aldo Tura, Paolo Buffa’s armchairs and Mark Brazier-Jones celebrates «La Haute Décoration». The photographic presence of Vanessa Beecroft and Umberto Mariani’s lead canvas bring a contemporary and brutalist reading to this luxurious space.
