OITOEMPONTO returns for the second time to the Lisbon Art and Antiques Fair promoted by the Associação Portuguesa dos Antiquários, which will take place between 11th and 19th September 2021, at Cordoaria Nacional in Lisbon.
After the success of their participation in 2015, OITOEMPONTO returns to the Torreão Poente da Cordoaria Nacional for another edition of FAAL. Over 9 days, it will be possible to rediscover the essential role that art has always played in the 28-year career of Artur Miranda and Jacques Bec. More than an indivisible relationship, the atelier finds in art an essential support for the transmission of unique emotions. Each one of their projects share the emotion that only art transmits.
For Artur Miranda, “this second participation reinforces our vision of a modern archeology, revitalizing the 20th century heritage, exposing its ever-present relevance!” In this sense, the Art Buying associated with OITOEMPONTO Arts & Antiques will highlight a relevant set of Mid Century furniture pieces of Italian and American style.
Among the works on display there is a panel by Michel Deverne, “Vilsboe” in aluminum and stainless steel, made in 1975. A photographic print, “Terminal E”, laminated digital inkjet print mounted on aluminum, designed by Xavier Veilhan in 2004. “Vespa, Light Installation” in acrylic and neon by Marco Lodola, who was recently responsible for creating Dior’s windows all over the world. In the furniture pieces you can find “D154” chest of drawers by Carlo de Carli, Italian style Mid Century, in lacquered wood, metal and brass, from 1950.
“Trumeau” litter bin by Paolo Buffa, Mid Century Italian style, in rosewood, inlaid wood veneer, designed by Giovanni Gariboldi; brass crystal door and internal shelves made by Serafino Arrighi. “Mid-Century Sectional Sofa”, Paris, 1980, fully modular in brown suede leather and feathers, is approximately 12 meters and U-shaped, manufactured by the Steiner Company.
